Countryside Fire Protection District participates in the Office of the State Fire Marshal’s Youth Fire Setting Intervention Program, a statewide, standardized initiative designed to reduce frequency and severity of youth fire setting behavior. Our goal is to prevent and/or mitigate youth fire setting behaviors through prevention education, early intervention, and referrals to support youth and their families. We have a dedicated group of well-trained Youth Fire Setting Interventionists who are equipped to conduct interviews to assess risk and to provide necessary resources.
