Station Tours

One way that we can share your fire department with you is through station tours. Tours generally last approximately one hour. They offer a trip through the fire station learning the day-to-day operations, different areas of the firehouse, meeting administration and firefighters/paramedics, and a close-up look at the equipment and trucks that respond to different emergencies. Group sizes of not more than 15 are preferred, and an adult must accompany any children under age 18.

Please remember that our number one responsibility is still responding to emergency calls, so the tour may be interrupted should an emergency call require all manpower.

To schedule a station tour, call the station at (847) 367-5511 or email either Public Education Coordinator Rodkey at arodkey@countrysidefire.com or Administrative Assistant Lina Diaz at ldiaz@countrysidefire.com.

Block Parties & Special Events

The other way that we can share your fire department with you is to bring it to you. Countryside will frequently take a fire engine or ambulance out to area neighborhood block parties or special events at various businesses or organizations. These events offer individuals the opportunity to check out some of the equipment up close and ask questions of the personnel that come out.

As with station tours, Countryside’s availability to do this is subject to any emergency responses.

To schedule a block party or special event, call the station at (847) 367-5511 or email either Public Education Coordinator Rodkey at arodkey@countrysidefire.com or Administrative Assistant Lina Diaz atldiaz@countrysidefire.com.
