Countryside Fire Protection District has tentatively scheduled its Annual Pancake Breakfast and Open House for Sunday, October 4, 2020 (based on Illinois COVID-19 Phase approval) at Station 2 located at 600 N. Deerpath Drive, Vernon Hills. 

This event kicks off Countryside’s observance of Fire Prevention Week.  The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week is “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen.” This year’s FPW campaign works to educate everyone about the simple, but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe in the kitchen.

Did you know that cooking is the #1 cause of fires and home fire injuries? Unattended cooking is the leading cause of fire in the kitchen.
