Program Information

This class is the live component required to complete your certification. Prior to taking this class, all students need to complete the 50-hour online training available at www.bluecardcommand.com.

Unlike most training centers, Countryside’s solution is portable and can be taken on the road to your fire station. The class, held over three 8-hour days, will develop and strengthen your practical understanding of the Incident Command System. The class incorporates classroom discussion and simulation technology to complete tabletop incidents involving single family, multi-family, strip mall, commercial occupancy, and Big Box structuress. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a Blue Card Incident Commander certification card.

Countryside will be offering the program at its headquarters located at 600 N. Deerpath Drive in Vernon Hills. The cost for the program at Countryside is $350 which includes the class, continental breakfast, a working lunch, and a snack. Classes run from 0900 to 1700 and are currently scheduled for:

  • September 24-26, 2013

Each class is limited to no more than 10 participants so register early if you’re interested.
