Yellow Dot Program
The Illinois Yellow Dot Program is a statewide initiative designed to provide vital medical information on vehicle drivers and passengers. Information contained on the medical cards can assist first responders, like Countryside's firemedics and police, in obtaining critical information following a serious crash in which vehicle occupants may not otherwise be able to communicate with responders. This can mean the difference between life and death. Responders are trained to look for the information card when they see the decal on the vehicle.
Yellow Dot kits contain a yellow circle decal that is placed on the vehicle's rear-facing window and a yellow medical information card that needs to be filled out and have a close-up picture of the individual's face attached. The card should then be placed in the vehicle's glove compartment.
